About the numbers

  • A view is one page load. Nothing here counts people: the readings carry no visitor id and set no cookie.
  • An arrival is a page load that came from outside the site: LinkedIn, a search, another site, or no page at all (a bookmark or a typed address).
  • The readings come from each page’s own script, which sends the time on screen and the scroll depth when the page is hidden. The privacy page says what is sent.
  • The report refreshes every morning with the day before. Power BI hosts it, and it opens in Power BI’s own frame.
