Coolors in Power BI Reports
My favourite site for getting hex codes and everything to do with colours for power bi is Coolors:

Getting colours that are right and fit for purpose is so important that if you get it wrong it can make or break your entire report!
The site makes it relatively easy to get the colours that you’re after. There’s a whole bunch of different ways you can explore colours, but my favourite is the palette explorer.
Let’s say you have a “base colour”, this could be a company colour or anything that will form the basis of your report’s main colour.
Let’s say this base colour’s hex code is: #219ebc (a type of blue).

As you can see in the screenshot, you can put that base colour inside of the palette explorer and it’ll recommend a bunch of different palettes that match that one hex code.
The main thing here is that you are getting a bunch of colours that “go together”.
You can then see how the colours would look in a report by using something like the palette visualiser also seen in the screenshot.

I’m not about to say that finding colours to make your report look amazing is super easy but this site is definitely my go-to for anything to do with colours, to be honest I would be lost without it.
Give it a try and elevate your next Power BI report!
P.S. The link to Coolors is an affiliate link. I recommend it because I use it regularly and genuinely believe it’s worth it (I claim it on tax anyway.)
